Down the TBR Hole is a meme hosted by Lia @ Lost in a Story. It is dedicated to decluttering your TBR pile, going through each book and choosing which one should stay or go. I know that there are some book on my TBR pile that I’m never going to get to, so this tag is a nice solution to my never-ending TBR pile! So, here goes nothing!
How it works…
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Down the TBR Hole #3
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
I am really conflicted with this book. I attempted to read this book about a year ago and couldn’t get into it. I even thought about trading it into the book store. However, after reading some reviews of people who’s opinions I trust, I have decided to give it another try. Verdict: Keep
The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin
I think this book would be really cute. It even has really good reviews by those same people who’s opinion I trust. However, it’s not really the type of book I normally read. Maybe some day in the future I will be more motivated to read it but not anytime soon. Verdict: Go
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
I originally bought this book a few years ago for a buddy read but it never ended up happening. The concept is really interesting to me but honestly I have very little motivation to read this one. I don’t want to take it off my TBR though, at least not for now. Verdict: Keep
A Whole New World by Liz Braswell
I added this one when I was really in the mood for retellings. I will most likely never actually read this book. Verdict: Go
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
I absolutely love these movies and thought I would really enjoy the books too. I actually got a copy of this from my dad. I attempted to read it but lost interest fairly quickly. I like to give books at least two tries though. Verdict: Keep
I don’t know if this will ever actually end since for every book I take away, I add two more. (*sigh*)
